well depending on what state your in & when did you LAST make any payment on the account but yeah think i agree with scott here , i'd send in a validation request .. tell ya what happened in my case , i have 1 chargeoff credit card acount from july 98nevada's SOL is 4 yrs ) & it was passed around 2 bout 4 - 5 different collection agencys during that time until june 98 when an attorney locally in nevada threatened to sue me within 30 days with the blah blah blah nonsense if i didnt request validation with 30 days , well long story short i did request validation about 20 + days into their scam & ive never never heard anymore from them again since than the best part is like i say here in nevada my 4 yr SOL came & went back in maybe july or so .. bottom line , they'll do anything they can to try to collect cause people do sometimes scrape up 100 bucks per month & send it in for ever .. know your rights cause they know all the tricks .. good luck , kelly ......
