SOL in VA is the "cause of action" meaning the date you became delinquent and never caught up again. They are basing their dates on the premise that this is a written contract - it isn't. CC accounts are open-ended contracts. See Why Chat's explanation.

How old are the other debts on your report? If they are all as old as this one, and they are all credit card accounts, no installment accounts, you can pull your reports and start slaying those dragons - you're home free. It's a fight, but it's worth it to start to rebuild your credit. If you can't fight for some reason, then laying low is fine, just takes longer to rebuild.
