CapOne is one of the worst reporting companies when it comes to OC's.

When a CapOne account is charged-off, CapOne reports the status of the account as having an "open balance" and a "current past due amount"
the reporting essentially "kills" your FICO score.

I am presently dealing with 2 CapOne accounts being reported this way. I have disputed the way they are being reported. In my case, the accounts are NOT PAST THE SOL; therefore, I run the possiblity of CapOne renewing collection efforts.

This is the type of reporting that puts a consumer between a rock and a hard place. If the account is not past the SOL, and you challenge the way its reported, CapOne is directly notified of the inquiry through investigation.
