You don't need to send these scum a valdation letter (not violation), you need to send them a Cease and Desist letter. In it you say that they are never to contact you (your parents) again as the SOL has expired and it is time-barred. WhaChat has a great letter just for this purpose on her web site. Tell your parents NOT to talk to SCAMCO on the phone, if they answer the phone and its SCAMCO, tell them to hang up.. loudly !

Validation is demanding that they prove the debt is yours. Since the 10 yr old debt has expired beyond ANY state's SOL, they just need to make SCAMCO go away with the C&D letter.. don't ask them to prove anything.
