We live in Alabama. We are on the verge of BK. Too much credit card debt about $40,000. On top of that, I have student loans that total over $120,000 and a mortgage to boot. My wife is afraid that we will lose our house if we declare BK. She lost her job and we have fallen at least 4 months behind in our bills. I would declare BK if I new we could keep the house. Could they take the house? My income is over $50k and unfortunately I have a government security clearance that I need ot maintain or else I will lose my job too? What do we do?
