I received a letter from OSI Collection Services Inc. It is for a Capital One debt with a date of last payment July 1996.

Capital One Bank has referred your account to us for review. Capital One Bank has advised us that it has not received any confirmation of a bankruptcy filing that applies to this debt. If there is such a filing, either you or your attorney should furnish us with the information listed below from your bankruptcy file and we will then close our file and not make any efforts to collect the debt from you.
Date Filed
Chapter Filed
Case Number
Court/District Filed in
Attorney name address and phone number
This is not a demand for payment of the debt.
Sincerely,
OSI Collection Services

During the first year or so of delinquency the credit card company representative advised us to file bankruptcy. We consulted an attorney, but didn't have funds available to pursue. I believe I am past the SOL (I am in Florida) Should I respond to this letter.
Thank you.
