When you check your reports, if you something on there that is past the 7 years, dispute it as "obsolete" or "out of date" - keep your old or current credit reports - the 7 years starts with the month you first became continuously delinquent. If someone wants to garnish your wages, they have to sue you and win, first. Before they sue you they have to have you served with court papers. If that happens, let us know and we'll tell you how to answer. Don't make any payment plans with anyone!!!!!!!!!! Yes, the collection accounts are supposed to come off too, but sometimes they try to put them back on by re-dating them. It's illegal. If someone does that, let us know, and we'll help. That's why you save your credit reports, statements, etc. - it often provides the proof you need. Linda
