LadynRed, you were exactly right. The Oconee County courthouse says there is no such case number and nothing is filed against me. I don't know how old the CC debt is and it may or may not be the Chase acct. I have charged off balances on several cards that I have not paid on in at least a year. I know they are not older than 3 years which is the SOL in SC I think. I guess I should file BK but I keep thinking I can catch up eventually, partly when the sale of my condo goes thru (if ever!)but I'm beginning to think BK is best. The stress is really getting to me. By the way, I called the number he gave me. It is a company called CRS. Ever heard of it? Thank you for all your help. I would appreciate any advice.
