well i wouldnt suggest talking to any collector on the phone period .. before you do ANYTHING pull all 3 credit reports & see what they show as last date of payments , florida has a 4 yr SOL from when account 1st became late .. gotta be honest im not positive about the sending a letter to the OC about you agreeing to payment plans if that would re start SOL dates but i highly highly doubt it would but again you want & deserve exact info on that & like i say im not positive but im sure others will reply with that info. pull your reports to see exact dates or if you have ANY old bills showing past due that'll work also .. good luck , kel ......
