Do NOT ever call a collection agency, as that is most likely ALL this 'attorney' is. Its pointless to talk to them, all they'll do is lie and give you headaches. By law, they MUST send you notice in writing 5 days after they have acquired the account. That letter must also contain the mini-miranda (this is an attempt to collect a debt, blah, blah, blah) and a 30-day dispute period.
