If you have excellent credit then that means you are current on all your accounts. Therefore, you do not need to sign up with ANY counseling service. For one thing, it would not be a "minor credit blemish" on your record but a MAJOR notation that would look worse than bankruptcy. The "services" will not report to the bureaus but the individual creditors WILL, with the notation UNDER DEBT MANAGEMENT or something else to that effect. Don't let their "smooth and cool" ads fool you, go along with the general consensus of this board and do NOT sign up for ANY CCC.
