Who took out the original account, you or your ex?
Did you sign the original application?
What State are you in?
When does your report show the account became delinquent?

It is easy to remove the "BK" notification on the account on your report by disputing it with the CRA, "I have never filed BK"
However, if you were never actually removed from a joint account, and it is still within SOL, you may be opening a can of worms, as you can remove the BK notice, but be vulnerable for a lawsuit on the unpaid balance.
