"Lady" is correct, check the courthouse ASAP. Is there a docket or case # on the "papers"? If not, then it's probably not legitimate but check with the court.

Question for you LadynRed: If there is a garnishment order on a bank acct., the maximum that can be garnished is still 25%, the same as wages, correct?
