In general, when it comes to errors in billing on ANY bill,it is a very good idea to dispute the bill IMMEDIATELY, in writing CRRR but PAY it in a timely fashion. It is much more difficult to correct billing errors after you have defaulted. I suggest you pay the bill IN FULL,then contact Verizon legal dept. with a strongly worded letter for a refund of the over-billed amount and deletion and purging of any and all adverse reports. Tell them that your records indicate non-compliance with FTC and FCC regulations on billing adjustments, and violations of the FCRA by them and their agents, and you will take the neccessary steps to recover your refund, and damages from the adverse reporting and violations of the laws if they do not comply.
