If they agree to your terms, get it in writing and let me know if it works... A friend of mine was wanting to do the same thing.

Tell them before you send the money, for them to send you a letter, on their letter head, stating they will remove the item when PIF. Don't pay without the letter.....

Remember if it has been out there for almost 7 years from the Date of Last Activity then you might want to leave it alone.

Everything, by law, should drop off after 7 years of the Last Act. Date.
