Well, not that I've heard, but SCAMCO could have done something to start this, like sending your debt info out, wouldn't surprise me in the least !

Have you checked your credit reports to be sure SCAMCO hasn't made any illegal entries on it ? If they did, you have ample grounds to sue them for illegal reinsertion of obsolete data as well as inaccurate reporting - both violations of the FCRA.
