Hold your horses!!
The "7 year reporting SOL" is not as cut and dried as you think!

On accounts that were CHARGED OFF before Jan.1, 1998, the 7 year reporting period is dated from the CHARGEOFF date.

If it was charged off AFTER 1/1998, the OC is/was required to report the first date of delinquency prior to the chargeoff to the CRA. They then legally have to remove it WITHIN 7 years and 180 days from that date. (as a matter of practice they all remove it within 7 years)

So -- your complaints about re-aging etc. may not be valid.
