I am handling for my mother, my father's credit cards owed that were only in his name. The state is Pennslvania. Since the reduction of income, because of my father's death, it is literally impossible for my mother to keep paying these high bills, on her Social Security income. She does have a home, that is in both parent's name, except, that my mother does not want to sell the home at the present time.

Can these credit cards go against my mother's credit, she was not a joint authorized user on these accounts. And, will these monies go against the home?
