Can you tell me what it is and what it means ? I know that's broad, so let me give the few details I know.

A person had an account being paid thru CCCS. One of the creditors filed a lawsuit. The defendent went to court but apparently the plaintiff's atty or representative did NOT show up. This person says that he signed some kind of paper that a 'paralegal' for a CA is calling a 'right to defend'. Any idea what it is this person signed when there was no rep from the Plaintiff at court. According to him, his case wasn't even on the court docket !

Any light you can shed would be appreciated.
Thanks :)
