I consider myself to be just starting out in life because for the first time I'm considering moving out of my parents' home and getting a "real" job. Everyone's circumstances are different so I cannot be lumped into the same group as anyone else. I got my first credit card when I was 18 and still a child. You are supposed to be an adult at 18 but we all know that is not the case.

At any rate, I'm not looking for instant gratification. I just want to do what is best. I have been saving my moeny and was not looking for that type of advice. I am trying to take responsibility for owing debt. I am perfectly ok with paying it back but only if it will benefit me. I also just want to know what to expect for the next few years.

Thanks for the tip about finding out if the debt has been assigned or sold though. That will benefit me greatly.
