Good BK lawyer???

I am visiting some lawyers for the first free consultation, and guess what one of them told me?
Well, the guy says that ther are three trustees in the county, two of them are very close frineds of him, and one is his wife. He says his wife is not allowed to participate on his trials by law, but the two others are very close to him. I found out that it is true that his wife is one of the trustees.
Does being good friend with the trustees mean anything good in BK Chptr 7?
Because this guy was actually the most expensive $1000, including court fees to file the petition. Please explain,
