Thanks to your website, I've learned so much about credit laws, SOL, etc. My wages have been garnished by a couple of creditors in recent years, so I learned to quickly respond to any Civil Summons by making payment arrangements with the debt collector. I was served on March 26th, and made arrangements to pay monthly on the 15th (beginning in May) and the collector mailed me an "Agreed Judgement" that states that I have until the 20th (today!!)to mail my first payment along with the signed judgement. I checked my credit report last night and found out that this debt charged-off in 1997. From what I've read, SOL in KY is 5 years for open accounts (this was a credit card). Is it too late to get out of this or should I sign the judgement and know what to do next time?
