? on CA Validation & HIPAA

Requested validation from CA for 5 medical collections. Received computer printouts from hospital along with copy of signature. Balances on printouts are different then what CA shows as current balance. They didn't include anything with the printouts to explain the difference in balance. My question is, can we pay these to the original hc provider now and use the HIPAA letter or is it to late since we asked for validation from CA? Also, at this point we do have the CA on at least 5 violations for verifying with TU and not showing in dispute since, they had already received our validation letter. Is it possible to use that also to negotiate with the CA for removal & settling for a lesser amount? Last question is, what is the SOL for medical collections? I live in Indiana and have been told that it falls under the open contract but want to make sure. Thanks! Patty
