No Credit History - need advice

Hi all,

I've been in the States around 3 yrs now. I don't have a "credit history" yet. Presently, I'm at home and keeping the accounts/admin for my husband's company (he's self-employed as of last year).

I've been told that the best way to begin is to get a "credit card" .... does anyone know which one would be a good one to start with ? (I've been running scared since reading this site - and a few others - with all the scams that are going on).

I'd be grateful if someone can give me some advice on this :)
