One way is to open a secured credit card (but one with no or vew low processing fees)

Or...even better.. if you know someone with good credit, you may want to ask that person to list you as an authorized user on their credit card. Two cards would be great. The person just needs your name and social security to tell the creditor you are an authorized user. (Note: an authorized user doesn't have to actually "use" the cards to be listed as an authorized user)

Then these will be reported to the credit bureaus and will GREATLY improve your credit score (if you are a person with no credit). But these accounts should be in good standing (great standing) and of course you should trust this person.

If these accounts have long histories of good payment it can very much help a person who hasn't established any credit.

Good luck.
