Despite that fact that i have not been late with payment in four years, NOT 1 Day late!
I got turned down for a GAS CARD!!
WHY??
I checked my credit report, and there is a creditor, i not saying who but it sounds like "Banc of Amerika" (lol). I settled with them in September 1999, and I was never 90 days late when i settled. Thay have been reporting that i have been 90 days late every month since then!!!! 43 TIMES!!! The balance on the account is $0. They are also reporting a "charge off". IWAS PISSED. Since 1999 I have been turned down for a $13000 truck loan, a $7000 car loan, a $30000 land loan, and a GAS CARD last month!! Thats when i knew something was wrong. I am disputing it with equifax and talking with the creditor. The creditor says they dont have a phone # for that dept so i have to do all everything by fax! I sent them everything they asked for plus a 2001 report that shows a $0 balance and 23 times 90 days late. I checked my report again, last week, and they have taken off 19 of them, 24 times late!? I called Equifax and told them that that was not correct either. Then I checked it last night and it is now 22 times 90 days late!?!? Remember the credit report i sent them it said 23 times 90 days late!! I AM PISSED! Its like pulling theeth with these people.
Is the "Charge Off" correct, and how can i make things go faster? I am trying to get a home loan for my family.
