i live in Pennsylvania my charged-off chase visa card was first sold to piedmont then sold to CRS in november 2002. the chase was charged off in 1999 and i made one payment to piedmont in 2000. CRS apparantly sent me a letter to my old address in nov. 2002, which i did not receive, as it probably got lost or misdirected when i moved. they somehow got a hold of my new address (i am guessing from my credit report)and sent a letter. piedmont first threatened me with legal action only to sell my account to CRS. should i respond to this letter i got from CRS? the charged-off balance is quite high ($3200)...i wonder what i should do
