I have recently been contacted about a 20 year old student loan. I have never borrowed money from a student loan. This came up about 14 years ago, they ask for a repatision of signitures, which I complied. Now I have a collection agency trying to collect again. The original loan was for $2500. and they have added $ 3500. in intrest. and they say I have to pay it. An attorney said it would cost more to fight it. What can I do. I have told them it is not my signature on the promisary note, and they tell me I must have just forgot. Im 56 but my memory is still good. I have never had any other problems with like this. HELP PLEASE.
