They can do it in most States with a Court order and an affadavit that they expect you to conceal assets. In Tx and some other States, they do not need an affadavit or a Court order, just an intent to file form.They cannot TAKE the $$ -just freeze the account, and yes, if you have assets that they THINK you might dispose of, they can seize them too, (they would be liable for storage fees etc. if they lost the case)
