I forgot to add in my previous post that in the email I had from the state it stated that they had been registered and it ran out in December of 2001. At the hearing, the CA had their VP as a witness on the phone. I asked him if they were registered and he said, "well, I think so". Of course I asked for proof and they had none. That's how I learned that a third party does this for CAs.
Also, when a CA buys accounts, usually they buy them in blocks at a time. Pretty much all they get is an excell spreadsheet with the info. I asked for a copy of the original signature opening the account, a payment history proving I had been paying, and a copy of the last statement showing I had stopped payment. Of course, they couldn't produce squat.
