First, follow WhyChat's advise and make sure this is related to your case.

Next, take the afternoon off and visit the law library of your main courthouse. The friendly librarians there will direct you to books that will tell you how many questions can be asked.

123 questions sounds excessive. However, I do not know NY law, so it MAY be allowed. In my state, I think the limit is 20 or 25.

When you are at the law library, ask the librarian to help you find a form to file with the court requesting that number of questions be reduced.

I think you should seriously consider hiring a lawyer to help you handle this..esp if you would like to settle. The lawyer is not emotionally involved, and knows the system, and can get you a better deal. Go to www.naca.net and read the qualifications and areas of practice of lawyers in your area. Spending a little money on a lawyer now could save you a lot of pain and money on the other end.
