Ok I am tired of all this. I have sat and read all the pro and cons from everyone. JBC is a law firm. JBC has lawyers. Most are licensed in CA, but contract with other lawyers from all states when prosecution is needed. ARE YOU PEOPLE ALL STUPID? Apparently no one here knows how the legal system works. If you have a lawyer, yes the stop calling because they have to deal directly with the attorney. What did you think would happen? All you idiots read a couple of lines from a law book and think you know what you are talking about. Read up on statute of Limitations and Statutory Penalties. Statute of limitations is not from the check date. It is date of last payment toward the debt, or date of receipt into a collection agency. Contrary to popular belief in this room, JBC has been around for 11 years. IT IS ILLEGAL to bounce a check. Definition of a check: A legal binding contract between purchaser and retailer that states cash will be on hand when check is called upon. No credit was extended to you and you people bitch about it when it is your fault that you cant balance a check book. Just because it bounced doesn't mean you dont have to pay it anymore. And statutory penalties are mandated by your state LOOK IT UP. As for those that really had fraud committed against them. That is easy to prove. Send in your police report and Affadavit of Fraud. Why is that so hard to comprehend? Calling you everyday is not considered harrasment. Hence the decision in NY to ban the "do not call registry". It was unconstitutional. Poeple get a life, pay your debt, then and only then will it go away.
