This question may sound stupid....but I was just wondering on the advantages/disadvantages of a non-community state versus a community state when it comes to unsecured debts? In the event of a judgement against a debtor, can a creditor or collection agency have access (whether to freeze or garnish it)to a joint account of a debotr who lives in a non-community state even if the primary name on the account is the spouse?
