To captainmarty: I don't know if I have equity in my home. I have been here for a little over five years now and I don't know if there is enough there. I inquired about it with my mortgage company but they were no help. Right now it is appraised at 98,000 and my principle balance is about $66,500. I don't know if that info helps. How do you determine if you have equity. I was going to go thru my bk but figured they would turn me down since my credit report is bad now. Any info from you regarding equity in your home would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
