Yes, your credit score will rise if you have current accounts that you are paying on time. I would send the ca/lawyer a debt validation letter that way you know exactly what you owe & what you are paying for. You have a right to know what they claim you owe. You can also try to dispute the charged-off accounts with the credit bureaus and see if they fall off from there.
