They're not judgment-proof yet

Thanks for the good word. I really don't know why a sensible businessperson would want a court fight that would at best cost more to defend than settle, and at worst, cost MUCH more to pay. But there's no accounting for what CAs do. I guess it's just pure plain arrogance and they think nobody can touch them, and they bluff so much they figure everybody else is too. So few people actually sue that it's really not much of a deterrent. I'm trying to change that, and have a little fun and profit in so doing.

CAs have plenty of money, so I do to them what they only threaten to do to debtors: reduce the verdict to judgment, record it, domesticate it in their state, obtain execution, send interrogatories and take depositions in aid of execution, find out what assets they have, hold a sheriff's sale, and enjoy the proceeds. Preferably, in discovery, I happen to find out their checking account number and garnish it. They might just pay the judgment when it happens; licensing agencies don't like CAs to go around with unsatisfied judgments or FDCPA violations, much less both at the same time.

However, sometimes you have disasters like CFS and there's no money for anybody. That is what I fear may be happening with US Financial Recoveries, so they have until Tuesday afternoon to make us happy. If they don't wanna, then Wednesday morning, yours truly will file suit and drop papers so we can try and beat the rush.
