Like I said, I have a work schedule like anyone and it doesn't stop just because of a holiday. I work full time 40 hours a week.
I feel badly for the holidays and having to call people on them but there is nothing I can do about that.

I have not judged you or anyone on this board,I simply listed some reasons for people to be angry about instead of always directing the anger towards the bill collector doing their job.

If I were the collections agent that called you and you stated to me that you will not be able to do any form of a payment for the next six months I would only call you once every 15 days to keep the file in my chain of accounts. The call would be just a check in with you to ask how things are going and if your situation has gotten any brighter.
I would be patent and give you the six months. I have many people in my string of accounts like this. Any accounts not worked within 15 days are removed and put onto the dialer again. When that happens you will get a call everyday from a lot of different collectors. I try to spare people this grief by placing their account in my chain of accounts. Currently I have 144 accounts in my chain and many of them are people just like yourself that I am trying to protect. I have several seniors with absolutely no income what so ever. Several single mom's hoping for brighter days and some men in-between jobs.

As far as making "commission" most people seem to have a distorted view on how much money we actually make. I make an hourly wage, after if I bring in my "goal" for the month anything after that I receive a small commission on. The goals are set so high that in all of the time I have been doing this job I have not reached that goal yet.
