First Select / Vital Recovery / Credigy

Just got a letter from an attorney affiliated with Credigy/Vital Recovery concerning a First Select account that was charged off. We never heard a thing from First select ever concerning a delinquency. We paid Vital Recovery the "pay out" last May, and now their Lawyers are saying we still owe 795.00 + 1200.00 in interest back dated to June 2001. They are being very unhelpful in providing the details of the account history for us to dispute, and Vital Recovery never sent us a "Paid in Full" letter which they said they would do. Does any one know the number to First Select or any similar stories we could learn from to handle this situation?
