There are some states that have tolling but from what I understood the tolling comes into play when you leave the state and then come back to the state.

One example I am thinking of. You live in Florida and have 2 years remaining on SOL. You leave and go to Alabama for two years and then you decide to move back to Florida. You still have 2 years left on SOL because you leave the state.

Other states do not have tolling laws and it doesn't matter. You need to check the laws. But the examples that I read always referred to if you left the state in question for a period of a couple of years and then returned.

Maybe WhyChat can explain better but that is how I understood it.
