SOL is a defense to a lawsuit, not a bar to it.

I know of NO State that "prohibits" filing a time-barred lawsuit.

There have been cases in several States, Cal. among them where the State has filed against a CA for violations of State laws on fraudulent business practices for filing,or threatening to file a time-barred lawsuit. In all of these cases the State claimed that the CA had ample notice that their claim was time-barred,and there was no tolling.

This is why I suggest the SOL letter from my website be used.
