ladyinred, thanks for the response the other person assumed i was floating checks around and that was not the case. that particular week the bank had a malfunction and alot of checks got refused. the bank appoliged, refunded check fees and assumed the check was being returned. the check we found out later went to cross check.,who said we couldnt anything about it until they actually received the check and to wait to hear from them. when we did hear from them it was turned over to national check control. me and my bank both tried to get the check in the beginning , but cross check refused saying in the beginning they did not have the check or a file or case number on me. much later we found out it was not true. also people that say just use the visa check card , where i live in about 75% of the stores , beleive it or not including groceries dont take visa check cards, including tow trucks , dental offices emergency rooms, some pharmaciesl. in these cases if you dont have enough cash on you , you must write a check. this is the reason Mr/Mrs drew that i wrote cross you fingers and hope for the best. Like i said I actually have the surposed check, and letter from national check control saying I dont have a bounced check or owe them money. But because cross check has lost so much money because of this company they are apparently refusing to remove anybodies name from the list
