Well thats just plain nasty that they did that. I know two fellows who beat lawsuits by making themselves scarce with the process servers and never signed for certified mail. The judgse dismissed the cases. But they didn't have long permanent addresses, moved around alot. Thats terrible not to know your being sued. Even these two guys knew, they just avoided service. They knew they had certified mail and were always on the lookout for the server. You should dig up that stuff on that sheriff and report him for lying.
