Have had lots of trouble with this co. since my mortgage was sold to them a little over a year ago,wont go into all the problems at first but the problems really started when my husband lost his job in 2002, I got about 11/2 months behind did a lot of research and fighting and got them to grant a two month extension, do to a garnishment that I wasn't expecting a check went nsf, I sent a mo to replace it immediately but they still cancelled my extension,they called arranged to send payment by western union to reinstate the extension. The transfer was to happen on a Friday, went to do the transfer and never having done western union before didn't realize I needed a code for the city/state. Called and left message on managers voice mail what happened, when I finally did get a hold of the manager she was very nasty,didn't even care that is wasn't my fault and now demanded two months payment by western union by 5:00 that day or she was going to send by house to foreclosure, said that the default letter I had gotten had instructions for sending money western union so there was no excuses.When I got home and looked at the only letter I had gotten on the matter,there were no instuctions on sending payments by western union. Needless to say I borrowed money from parents to make the two months and sent it out--but am afraid that when the moon is full again that they could pull stuff again--any experience out there in dealing with mortgage co.'s? For the last two years I will deal with one manager,get things going, and then that manager won't be there any longer and I have to start over dealing with someone else. A lawyer I talked to said that once mortgage co's have you on a foreclosure list they will harasse you to death.Is there any governing agency that covers the practices of mortgage co.'s?
