My wife got a call from a credit card company last night. While she was on the phone with him he told her that if she didn't pay her debt, (she is going through a debt resolution/mamnagement co. to get this done) that the bank was going to put a lien on out property. My question is.... If I didn't incur any of this debt, and this credit card was unsecured, can they really put a lien against our property? If so, what kind of lien would it be, andwhat does that really mean to me? I have NO intentions of EVER selling this place. So what can they do..? I am in New York State. Thanks.
