You will need to look at how the accounts are recorded. If they are in her name only and you are listed as an authorized user, you will not be liable. She will be. They will come after her. GA is not a community property state.

The above are two more sites that give a whole bunch of information and are pretty accurate. The bankruptcy site lists the state and federal exemptions not only for bankruptcy but what creditors cannot touch.

Since you are not in a community property state and the cards are in her name, if you don't pay they will come after her and her non-exempt assets. You might want to consider what you can do to protect her.
