Try to make repayment arrangements with the college. Do not deal with the collection agency. Write a letter to the college and include a payment plan and a check to show good faith. You may have to pay at least 1/2 of what you owe in order to go to the school again. If you have the funds, advise them you will pay the entire amount along with the fees you will incur when you register to take more classes now. Forget the collection agency...they cause nothing but pain.
