I hope that you will use an attorney. It sounds like it would be money well spent. You may want to consult the Nolo Press books, "How to File for Chapter 7 Banruptcy," and "Money Troubles," for additional information. If you have 3 Civil Judgments against you, your attorney may be able to vacate the judgment, during the Ch 7 process. I have a 1995 judgment. I consulted a bankruptcy attorney in December. She said that she could include that as part of the bankruptcy. She said that she could probably get it vacated. I'm in California. So, I don't know how it would work where you are. In terms of seizure, it sounds like your cases are still active. If they are active, then the CA has to file a motion or order to get the seizure. The Sheriff has to report that the Order was executed. If anything does get seized, you're supposed to be able to file an Order of Exemption. At least, that the way it seems to work here of the cases I have reviewed. You may want to visit the courthouse and review your files, unless your court is online. There might be additional documents.
