What are your other debts like??? If you ignore the CA , chances are they'll move on to someone else that they can intimidate. If you happen to get cornered by the CA again, just get the address and send a letter telling them to lay off. As for the threats and badgering, take notes, get his name and ID number, and report the company to the FTC. They cannot harrass you. The important thing is to not let everything get out of control. The people here can offer suggestions, proven to work most of the time because they've "been there, done that".
We really need more info on what else is going on to be able to give better advice. Break down the whole log of events. SOL in NY is 4 Years?
