POSSIBLE RESULTS
Pay them before Court date:
1: They accept your payment and file with the Court for a dismissal of their claim.
2: They accept your payment, and ALSO get a default judgment against you because you do not show up in Court.

Wait Until Court Date

1: They show up with COMPLETE proof of their claim, including a copy of the application and an accounting of all charges and fees-- you get a mediated settlement, pay them, and the Court clerk dismisses the case.

2: They show up with NO or insufficient proof of their claim, you dispute their claim, the case is dismissed without prejuidice, allowing them to resubmit with the required proof.

3: They do NOT show up, but phone in or send a paralegal to file the expected default judgment, you object and request a dismissal WITH prejuidice, so they can not reopen their claim.
