OOPS! Think I just found my own answer. I nave no dependent children that I provide for. They are all grown and off on their own now. I THINK to qualify as "head of household" I must provide for part of the upkeep of a dependent. Is it possible that if I provide for part of the upkeep for very elderly parents in another state that I might still qualify as "head of household" though? Sorry to be so dense! Marvbear
